I loved my purchase from Happy Hamstery. They seem to be the closest to "German hamster care" you can find readily available in the US. I read about their story, and they are indeed doing something extraordinary and unprecedented to improve hamster welfare in this country. Smells great and makes great bedding. For some reason my hamster hasn't really cared for it and I don't know why I like it but maybe he'll come around.
