Our Goals
We strive to provide an ethical & alternative adoption option for dwarf hamster lovers to adopt Winter Whites in the US (since all other ethical breeders in America breed only the Syrian species.)
We hope to bring awareness to proper enriching hamster care and lessen the amount of hamsters adopted from chain pet stores.
We prioritize breeding the calmest, and friendliest hamsters as this will benefit the domesticated species in the long term.
Our Breeding Ethics
Our hamsters are kept in the same size enclosures we recommend to our adopters, with over 500+ square inches of floorspace.
Our adult hamsters all have an 8-10 inch wheel, non-scented paper bedding, sand bath, dig boxes and an assortment of enrichments in their enclosure at all times!
Our adult hamsters are fed our Homemade Confetti Seed Mix with over 30 ingredients every evening.
Our hamsters are only bred between the ages of 4 months - 1 year, only allowing each mother to have only 2-3 litters, and then they are retired out to an adopter to live an amazing rest of their life, or stay at the hamstery as one of my personal hamsters.
Our hamstery follows the CHA and OHC's code of ethics as a guideline in both our care and breeding practices.
Our hamstery upholds the ethical and husbandry standards we require of our adopters. Learn more by visiting our ‘Enclosure Requirements Page’.
Disclaimer: There are many circumstances when an ethical breeder will remove a hamster’s sand bath, wheel, and some enrichments, along with only providing 2-3 inches of bedding. This can appear like improper care, when it is actually safest, due to the circumstances at hand. Whether they are in a health monitoring enclosure, or are 4-8 week old pups being tamed, or a postpartum mother, life will look different for them in certain seasons of life and that is what is MOST ethical, to adapt based on the hamsters needs in every situation.
