Average Dwarf & Hybrid Hamsters: For a hamster in a new enclosure, offer approximately 1 tablespoon nightly to support hoarding behavior. Once a hoard is established, around one month, reduce to ½ tablespoon daily, or approximately 1 tablespoon every other day.

For a hamster in a new enclosure, for the purpose of having enough food to build their hoard, provide around two tbsp daily for about a month.
Once you've located a large hoard, cut feeding in half, by feeding one tbsp daily.
