Why is this sunflower head so large??? When they said large, they truly meant it! I actually had to break it into quarters because I already know my grand-ham-son is going to lose his mind when he stumbles across it.

I know this says large and I’ve seen sunflowers but I didn’t realize how much sunflowers you get from them. We’re going to try and plant a few for future supply but this one was amazing and had sooo many.

My little dwarf hammy is absolutely OBSESSED with these sunflower seeds. If I let her, she’d pouch and hoard the whole flower head in one go lol. I appreciated the directions telling me to freeze the sunflower head before giving to her and the instructions to only let her pouch 10 at a time, because otherwise-I would have no idea what I’m supposed to do, so thank you! Good quality and came nicely wrapped. It’s huge so it will hopefully last me a long time. Highly recommend!!

I appreciated the size of the sunflowers and the amount, however, upon inspecting some of the seeds, I noticed that approximately 45% were empty and contained no kernel inside. Unfortunately, my hamster also noticed this and began discarding the empty seeds, which initially raised my concern. This issue became apparent when I offered some of the seeds directly to my hamster and observed the reaction.

This thing if massive!! Plus, the individual seeds themselves are triple the size of the shelled ones I already have.
It is a little hard to break the sunflower into small pieces to put into the cage, and they do fall off rather easily, but I assume that’s just how sunflowers work, so I don’t think it’s a problem with the supplier.
